Technical Consultation Workshop on “Unpacking the Commercial Validation Framework for Healthcare Innovations and Technologies”
SAMRIDH convened a groundbreaking Technical Consultation Workshop on “Unpacking the Commercial Validation Framework for Healthcare Innovations and Technologies” on 27 February 2024 in New Delhi. The event brought together key stakeholders including incubators, healthcare start-ups, venture capitalists, academicians, and others to refine the Commercial Validation Framework developed by SAMRIDH in collaboration with PATH and the Centre For Health Research and Innovation (CHRI), a PATH affiliate.
The framework aims to guide innovators in assessing the readiness and commercial viability of new health technologies for the Indian market. Dr. Manjunath Shankar, Head – Strategic Initiatives, SAMRIDH, underscored the pivotal role of the CV framework in refining go-to-market strategies for healthcare startups, irrespective of their Technology Readiness Level (TRL). This framework represents a significant step forward in empowering Aatmanirbhar MedTech startups to thrive.
Mr. Niranjan Joshi from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) highlighted that the framework would benefit burgeoning HealthTech ecosystem stakeholders, ensuring the commercial success of innovative technologies either for identifying the best ones or for making a course correction in their techno-commercial development process. Dr. Shikha Dhawan, PhD, PGDM, praised the meticulous preparation of the commercial validation document, emphasizing the teams’ collective effort in nurturing innovation and fostering self-reliance in the MedTech sector.
